Aiwa CS880 on Ebay.
masterblaster84 - 2008-02-29 18:00
Already watching it skippy.
You can see the typical rotted foam but at least it looks solid.
I sent him an email and asked if he would sell it for $850.

I seen that as soon as it was listed but $300.00 for rotted out speakers and who knows what else.... too much for a start bid.
Ugh, no wonder he didn't wanna sell it to me - Molson must've sealed the deal
As far as driving to Canada - i've already done it once. Drove from Dallas to New York-Montreal-Ottawa-Toronto-Niagara Falls and more. It was fun
Yep,the Molson sealed the deal! LOLOL!!!!!!!

Exclude me from this envious list, please
ok - thanks for the pep talks -- we will know in a few weeks (canada) if i screwed up - again
Wow. 600.00 bucks? Looks in very nice condition. Those 4 little tab thingys on the record, tape selector, stereo mode and function are not the originals tho. Unless they made the 880 in a different version. Mine isnt like that at all.
Ash, just in case you are no longer satisfied with the *tab thingys* on your Aiwa - I can help you get rid of it - only I am not as rich as Ira, so I can only offer $500
Hey Vlad. It woul be the hardest thing to part with one of mine. Never say NEVER THO. I would really have to be down on my luck something terrible. I cant believe you havent sold your 9696.
Ya, I know - I'm surprised about 9696 too, but oh well - people want me to keep it, and so I will
And hope nothing terrible happens with your luck
Those switch tabs are definately not original. It should have the normal little Aiwa style switch covers. I think there were only a couple of versions of CS880's the ones built in 1981 have a silver dial face. The ones built in 1982 had a blue face. of course there is the J88 too"Japanese market version".

If you would like, i can save you money on the shipping, and go see the seller since he lives close to me and put the original switches on the BBX before it gets shipped...if this works please send your paypal payment of $199.99US to:
icantstandeggs@paypal.com
Thanks for your business!
***Chicks are available, however on a separate e-bay auction listing and Paypal payments will not be accepted...just International Money Whore-ders.

Thanks 4 the pics Skippy. I think I like the 1981 model better, with the silver face.
