skippy - its not an M1 -- its a 1M instead -
i think (??) the big difference is that mine goes up to fm 108 and the M1 gooes to fm104

The 1M and M1 go to 108mhz. I have a HiFi Studio 1(No M designations) that needs a lot of TLC after a bad shipping adventure.
It only goes to 104mhz on the FM band.
