I've finally decided to sell my WX-1. I just don't like 3 piece boxes at all, I guess. I bought it from Henry - here's a link to the original auction
Toshiba WX-1I can post more pics and videos when I get home from work, if anybody's interested.
Cosmetically, I would give it 9 out of 10. The only issue being the pushed in grill that Henry described. However it is really minor, and if he didn't mention it - I wouldn't have noticed that.
Mechanically, everything works, but FM stereo might need a little tweaking - the FM stereo light comes on, but the reception is not as good as on my M90.
Tape deck 2 works fine. Tape deck 1 seems to play a little slower, but it has pitch control that I haven't played with yet - maybe it is not set in the right position - I only started using this Toshiba last night for the first time since I bought it.
I paid $470 for it, and I'd sell it for $450 plus shipping. If nobody's interested, I'll be listing it on ebay in the next couple of days.
Thanks and happy monday
is this the only 3-piece that you have?
Do you have any other 3 Piece Boom Box's that you may be selling ?
James, this Toshiba is the only 3-piece I have.
Well, I also have a Sony LBT-ZX6 Mini Hi-Fi system, but it's so heavy that I probably will list it on Craigslist with local pick up only
same here vladi, not much of a fan of the 3 piece boxes. only a very select few i would consider owning.

Vladi,
I'm not much of a 3 piece fan either but I do have three of them. I expect to sell one of them by this summer. The WX-1 is a very cool and unique 3 piece but you have to have the taste for it.
Good luck Vladi! To whoever is interested in it you can buy from Vladi with complete confidence.
Thanks Don!
Ya, the WX-1 seems all the rage on the forums. It's big, it's beautiful, it's got great butt - why couldn't I ever like it! Maybe the next owner will love it the way I never could.
P.S. Am I still talking about boomboxes??

Don, I never said I was good at math. Or cooking, cleaning, working, driving, studying and relationships. With my head I like to chew on some hot wings and also I drink beer with it real good
