Now, he's back. But this time the BIN is $850 USD!!! That has to be the fastest appreciation on any boombox ever! In less than 24 hours, it gained another $200 USD in value.

He needs to do something with the shipping charges as well. His shipping is twice as high as it should be.

I have to say though - I'm tempted now - I've always liked those Sharps....

I'll wait and see if he lowers the price some more - I already have GF-9696, and I don't think they sound much different, do they?

Soundwise the 9696 kills the 9797 but the tuner of the 9797 is awesome. I like the soft touch tape deck too

Well...then 9797 is out of question - I think 9696 sounds just ok - I much prefer gf-777

By the way, there's Sharp GF-9595 on german ebay - from our member ghettoblaster68 - that looks very tempting as well! Link!!!!!!
