i had a hitachi very similar to that i paid 20 bux for it. very nice box.
WAHHHHHHHHH! Can't buy it right now. No magic BIN for me.
I think that is a pretty fair price. It looks like a quality unit. Does anyone know what it sounds like?
yes -- it sounds as solid as any boombox ever could -- its superb quaility --and the center section is awesome ---but just as with lots of small 3 piece boxes --the speakers cant handle the amp power -- so its not a real loud set-up --
oldskool is next !!
Why thank you Ira! Yes the CK series are very, very powerful units. And as Ira mentioned, the speakers can be over driven. These units are some of the best of the era as it peaked at this time with these, the JVC PC series (Mid 80's), Sansui CP Series, Kenwood El Poco, Denon(?) and if I missed some please forgive me. These were the best beacause they had the same parts and technology as their mid-line and some high end home audio systems. You can easily hook up home speakers to any of the units I mentioned and be wowed by seeing what they can really do. That being said, they are rare. I have a CK-5F and would snatch this in a heartbeat if I could. I will not quibble about price as its worth will be determined by the seller and the buyer. But whoever gets it will be very very happy.
