For some reason now, no tape sound??? Although every function works perfectly! Radio and Line In are perfect!

Overall condition is probably better than 8.75 too.

(Now about that Grail I found... Lets just say its still with its original, careful owner, and the shoulder strap looks like it was just taken out of the box!)

Yes I got this Aiwa From Royal and he sent it to me in a trade. I kept it and ENJOYED it very much for over a year. Then Jeff and I traded for the Marantz I'm sending you. Pretty cool huh?

A similar Sanyo sold on Ebay for $75 a few weeks ago. I was surprised to see that...

RBJ, not knocking your Sears 2199 it's a nice radio for what it is (I have one)..... however, it isn't even in the same stratosphere as the 770.

Too bad the deck output on the 770 is acting up, this is such a sweet box.

Did you forget to set the function switch to cassette?

It was the Dolby switch it was in on position, I just switched it back and forth and whala sounds very good thanks Jeff . I will post pics tongiht as soon as I get home from work .

Ah... Ive noticed that about switches before, sometimes functions start working again if you work the switch a bit.

Gee.... I wonder how good the cassette deck sounds?
