Long time no sizzle my frizzles...
Anyway, got a couple of duplicate boxes and so want to start thinning out the collection a little. The ones on offer today are an Intersound Super Jumbo and a Hitachi TRK8200. The Intersound has a couple of issues, bu not serious and the Hitachi is in perfect working order and looks good.
Both on the bay right now, so take a look if you're interested.
Peace.

Beautiful Intersound....
Oh well, I can dream!
Good luck, someone's gonna be a very happy bunny with that box
Beautiful Intersound deatbox, I had 2 of those, Good man hope someone this is hugh and real looker
.
OOPS sorry beatbox I missed spell sorry about that. Now that is imbarassing
, But your Intersound is hot I had 2 of those and it is bigger than the Conion C-100F. Good luck on the sale
.
I soooooo want one of these. 2nd to last boombox I am after. I dont trust that box making it oversea in one piece no matter how well you pack it up. An angel would have to hand deliver that to me for the feeling of security.
Well, this is how I roll -
Superior quality right here baby...I've posted around 40 boxes all over the planet and never had any damage.
I remember that packing job!
Petey, if you can afford it, buy from that man!
Edit: May be too late... The auction ends in a few minutes.
the j1 is a very hard box to ship ,the transformer and the magnets on the woofers usually get broken off in transit unless the box is shipped in the upright standing position, the woofer on one side broke completely away from the box on mine but it was an easy fix luckily ,these boxes have fairly large magnets on the woofers and shipping them without damage is very hard.
These are nice radios. I was interested in the hitachi but missed it because I came home too late. It sold way too low for such a beauty!

I'll let you know if that holds true here when it arrives on my doorstep......
Hey beatbox, send you a message via ebay with my address for the shipping calculation. Let me know so I can send the payment over to you.....
Regards,
Chris

Tell me about it. I'd be REALLY p*ssed if I didn't have 2 of them. Its hard enough being in dire straits money wise and having to sell some radios without them going for peanuts.
The buyer is very lucky. This is a fantastic box in my opinion. No fuss, good sound and no distortion when turned up full.

The problem is, the power transformer is far too heavy for it's cheap mounting points...1 hit/drop/bang it's all over
We'll hope for the best on this one

The buyer knows much about boxes. I can open this baby up, individually wrap each heavy piece. Badabing.

As long as there is ALOT of soft "cusion" of packing materials inside and it is double boxed it will help...otherwise i will not only be "Badabing"...but "Badaboom"...in a bad way
I hope it all works out and am looking forward to pics

i think beatbox has a great idea packing the heavy parts seperately should help out alot ,another thing you can do is put bubble wrap inside the box to support the boards and fill the empty space during the trip.

That is a great idea floyd! I've done business with beatbox before, he's really on the ball so I'm only "a little" concerned because you never know what these knuckleheads who handle the boxes in transit do to something that I'm sure is going to be quite large......
I really hope she survives the trip gracefully.....<crosses fingers>
Beatbox, if you have to partial take things apart besides the tranformers and speakers, go for it, I can alway reassemble it here as needed. Just if you can, take a few pics so I can see where the wires and things go.
If you add bubble wrap as Floyd mentions, be sure to take a few close ups of the decks incase it snag any of the springs in the deck area and I can locate any/all missing parts in the box if something like that happens.
If you find that doing this is adding way to much cost, PM me the amount for addition euros and I'll cover that.....
If this all works out, it seems like this box could make it into my top 3 list........
Thanks again beatbox.....

Hey Beatbox, do you still have the Hitachi 8200, and if so how much did you want for it? You can PM me or I will instead, thanks!
dumpstermyass - 2009-06-27 13:18
Woops, I spoke too soon, it's on the bay
I apologise, I need to read the messages better...
By the way, does anyone know what size belts this unit needs? I talked to Norm in a message and he said a 6.0 square belt small orbicular and I can't find it ANYWHERE...He told me it needs 2. This is my highest priority, next to paying for a soon-to-be-mine Clairtone 20/20...Once this belt gets replaced and the tape player works, this will be my King box for street use. Booyeah!

The Hitachi's are great, especially the 8181, 8190, and 8200's
I am thinking of giving my 8200 to my Mom when I go to Texas to visit her. She said she would like something to listen to next to the hot tub. I told her don't buy any of this new crap, she needs a vintage blaster, fo sho
