Petey are you sure it was valid? There has been a rogue child pretending to be various members sending hate mail to members.

I have probably received more of these over time than anyone else. Removing your email can help if the little butt nugget hasn't seen it yet. Otherwise, just follow the instructions at the remailer you receive the email from to ban said butt nugget from using it ever again to contact you.

Just out of curiosity, what type of hate emails are we talking about? I've sold a few ebay stuff in my time including boomboxes and don't recall ever getting any "hate" email.

He goes after members and just spouts vitriolic crap, often pretending to be some other member. I have not had his personal blessings for several years now but he has been doing this maybe since late late 2005 or sometime starting in 2006.

This particular email said that I was ripping off memeber "again". Which is funny because this is the first time I ever auctioned a radio on Ebay. The account I'm using is my buddy that I live with. (Which is stated in auction in big ass letters.)

Also the email stated that he is a part time moderater and that if he could he would ban me for life on S2G. In reality I have had nothing but positive experiences with my time on this message board. Which is why the intial email caught me off gaurd. (I know writing about this experience is only encouraging the guy to do it again and to other members.)

Bottom line is, radio is still for sale. PM me if any one has questions etc etc.

Ya know...It didnt even dawn on me until after I left my friends house for the photo shoot. I'm sure people bidding on it know all about it anyways. I definatly should of plugged it in and shown it on. I brain-farted with out a doubt.

Take my word for this, get the 1200's that have that button for locking the pitch. It's so much better than having that damned notch at the "0" spot on the pitch control that its not even funny. It sucks when matching beats to have to work around that notch.

I believe that the SL-1200M3D and MK5 are the only versions of the 1200 to have that pitch lock button.

I sold my MKII's for M3Ds a while back and am sooo happy I did so...

Anyway, congrats again, now go get some decks!!!!

Yeah that was nice coin for Petey but I've seen boxes sell in the nieghborhood of three times that much. I don't know what the highest is but I've also recently seen a rare 80's multiband radio sell on ebay for somewhere in the $6,000 range or was it $8,000? I don't quite remember but at either amount that's major coin and way way out of my league.

What a pain in the ass to ship. Box was too big for USPS. Apparently double boxing boxes makes shipping a little more difficult.

I'm glad to report this box made its journey safe and in one piece. It had me sweating because it took so god damn long.

Maybe in a few years you shall see it pop up again. Who knows.

Let's see... April 23.... July 11.... yeah, I'd say it took long. Yeah, I'd say it took TOO long. Don't know that I would've had that kind of patience.
