yep,a sharp vz2000 and a GF555 for £52,thats a bargain !! if i lived near him,i`de be hot steppin it right up there with my £52 right now

well i just bought it, gonna collect it next week from the guy.

if anyone wants any of the radios apart from the vz2000 (thats mine ) then you can have them real cheap.

Nice one andre,your first monster..i can tell you right now,you wont be able to carry that 2000 very far e.g to the park,you orta have a listen to the GF555 aswell,they sound pretty good,quite gutsy and loud..that would be better for the park,and the vz would be better for the house..

haha, well i guess we'll see when i go pick em up, might have to keep the gf555 in that case. sharp vz-2000 would be perfect for our roof cause its nice up there but we definitely need tunes and i dont have to carry it too far.

but yeah, so glad ive got some boxes now, and i got a nice walkman the other day! guess im finally a legit member.

and one more thing,i cant beleve your picking them up "next week" i could`nt wait that long..

trust me, id be out the door already if i didnt have exams this week. but they're over soon and then im gonna drive with my flatmate to glasgow to pick em up, gonna make an afternoon of it, should be quite good fun. i really can't wait to see how heavy a sharp vz-2000 really is!

well finally finished exams, so went to glasgow today to go pick up the radios! got the gf-555 and vz-2000 in my sitting room now, they're looking good, need a little bit of a clean but everything seems to be in working order. missing one slider on the vz but nevermind.

he gave me a LOAD of other radios/tuners/amps/speakers/turntables and stuff as well, so bargain price.

well here are the photos of the boxes, and man is the vz2000 heavy!! probably won't be taking it to the park but the 555 is pretty nice.

actually, gonna take it to the park tomorrow and then going to a friends 21st on the weekend and he wants it there too so yeah, it'll get a few miles on it.

i am missing 2 big sliders (ones snapped and ones missing) and then 2 black plastic screws for the record player cover thing at the bottom, but apart from that everything else is there and in good nick.

its an absolute beauty though, cranks pretty loud but the bass is lacking. do love it though!

Andre,you mentioned that the vz is lacking bass..they did that deliberate,they built the stereo round the record deck,they had to make the bass speakers very stiff,if they made it to have lots of bass,there would be terrible feedback whilst playing a record..

not my radios but the bar has a subtle retro theme, there are a couple of booomers on display and some unusual stencil decor. and some very nice beers too !
