Wow! I've never seen ANY Technics gear labeled as "Technics by Panasonic." That is too cool. Cool

So, is it supposed to be a portable or home deck?

I've seen turntables labeled that way as well...maybe at one time Matsu****a (the original brand) was trying to introduce the Technics brand stating that it was from the same company that Panasonic is from

Technics was launched by Matsu****a's consumer brand Panasonic in late 1965.
Early units were tagged "Technics, by Panasonic". Led by the instant success of the SL-1200 and SP-10 turntables (and their successive versions), Technics became market-wise very successful and remained a high-end audio outlet for Matsu****a's research until the early 1990s.
