its called "s2g ADVANCED"
its only for the most serious collectors who would have gobbled up the entire potrokh collection in the fist five minutes --

but - not to worry -- they plan to still maintain this old s2g site for collector wannabees with crappy boxes--

so the only member will be the person that buys it. they will be talking to them selfs

Who's gonna be the one to honestly assign monetary values to each of the boxes? Obviously, someone going for the sealed boxes should pay WAY more towards the $10K than someone going for the Panasonic RX-F4.

fatdog --in my opinion --that should get resolved by itself (sort of) --

like if a member offers 1400 for the NIB M70 -and nobody wants it $$more -- then thats it for that one --

and maybe the rx-f4 will get a member bid of 65 --and if nobody offers more --thats it

etc --
the only number that really counts to the seller is the big $10k ---and you can predict we will have some 'fine tuning' as and if we approach the end

when/if we finally hit that number --all is well -

The only way I could see this panning out is to have a neutral PayPal account, etc., to act as a pool. Deposits would be recorded with the specific radio attached to that deposit.

Then the one controlling the account would consumate the deal.

As far as shipping the seller I would imagine should not have a problem sending them in different directions as he would have to pack them individally anyway.

Why don't we just contact him and ask? Short of someone coming over and picking all of them up (doubt it would ever happen), he's going to need to ship them individually anyway. The only concern is that maybe he's afraid multiple buyers will increase the odds of him getting scammed. But as long as he ships UPS with tracking number, he has proof that he shipped and his funds won't be swiped by Paypal.

reli --he was a very well respected member here --and i think he had transactions with lots of other members --so this would be like the normal trust among members --no biggie worries

I obviously misunderstood Ira, I just didn't get the point of you dragging Jens and I into the RBJ-speak point you were making.


I hope you aren't implying that my attempt to work out an alternate plan for acquiring these is somehow a bad thing. If anything, you should realize how serious I am about it.

very beautiful collection but when multiple parties are involved in a purchase of this magnitude things might get ugly around here.

Well I have enough room in my car to drive up and haul off half of them. Someone else would have to deal with the rest.

The two I originally "claimed" were the Rising and the GF9000, and I'm also interested in the GF9191 and the RXF4 if nobody else wants them. And if anyone wants to send me money and have me pick up their box(s) at the same time, I'll do it, but like I said I only have enough room to pick up half of his boxes.
