Well, i wouldn`t have one given.
I hate to say this, because the seller is a member here, but my feeling about this deal has already been expressed in one of his photos:
(Which is not to say that the 4360/7700 isn't a nice box, because it is.)

I am actually a big fan of optimism - so best of luck to the seller and I'm sure the market will decide.

And yes, the price is a bit too high. One of these sold for only about $350 just a few weeks ago, and there were only two bidders - myself and one other person.

If I recall, the seller is JVC Sharp.
There is a Best Offer option, though I would be hesitant to make one personally since the BIN is so much higher than what I would offer.
What I don't understand is, if you're going to put that BIN out there, and the BO, why not allow bidding, to see what the likely selling price would be even if it doesn't meet a reserve?

The toggle covers on yours do not seem to be original..
I do want one of these vers badly,buy I am kind of funny. The National Panasonics,just because they werent available to me when you could walk into the electronics store and buy them,it was Panasonic, not National-Panasonic. So I want to buy the RX7700. Thats just me. Although JVC has a VERY CLEAN boombox there!!!!! Quality built.

The toggle covers on your RS look awfully similar to those used on old receivers of the late 70's early 80's such as Pioneer, MCS, etc. I guess that would mean at least the vintage is correct.
Those knobs actually look better than the originals in my opinion
Hi. Yes,i agree,the metal knobs look better than plastic ones and match better the speakers covers.Maybe is not the BEST sounding bbox but for shure is classy and quality built.Not many tape decks sounds like this one...
I agree as well ,much better than the plasic ones...

I think this price is in the neighborhood of twice as much as any 7700/4360 I've seen sell regardless of condition or extras.

For these prices I think I've got a few boxes I could "epay". In fact at these prices I'd be tempted to sell off most of the collection, anybody know who that buyer was? I could make him a package deal, 20 boomers and some Egg-nog for $20k.
