thanks jared, for the 'promo' --
i didnt offer it here -because its not a real german grundig . and this one is very good looking. however-- soundwise ,
its excellent -- but no big deal --just not like an outdoor BOOMBOX !!

Is this a Franken Grundig?
AL franken sat on it.
None of my business (so feel free not to answer), but why sell? Both the Grundig and Panasonic 5500 are nice boxes with (IMO) very satisfying sound. Plus, except maybe for the Grundig's missing antenna, your units are in very nice shape. Won't you miss them when they're gone?
I will be going to Boynton Beach for covert actions to relieve Ira of boxes such as these he so carelessly wishes to relieve himself of.
baby boomer --the answer to your good question is that i ALREADY miss them --
lately-- most of my nice, rare boxes are stored far away in an off-campus location --
because we live in a severe flood/hurricaine zone --and recently 100% of the communities insurance was totally canceled.
the ac storage around here cost about $1.000 per year --therefore, we decided is far better to sell alot of these nice boxes --than to keep them hoarded away doing nothing
so thats the non-fun story--

the fun part is that since i pledged to 'thin-out'
i have bought more boxes than i sold !!

Is that why he often claims when his boxes are for sale they're beyond mint...they're golden?
The term "Golden Oldies' was first coined in South Florida....hhhhhmmmm
