I'm selling my Crown for $200 shipped, if anybody's interested.
















Everything works (never checked the record function tho), but the sound of the tape deck goes up and down when in play mode - I assume it needs new belts. FM sounds great! Power cord included.

BTW, you may need some other way to play an iPod or whatever thru this box... I could never get my iPod to play using the line-in jacks.

Crown

I paid $300 (give or take about $15) for it off eBay.

I like the Crown you have. It's almost the same as the 950, except yours has needle meters instead of LED's.

Honestly, I'm starting to have second thoughts about selling this box! I really love the way it looks - not to mention that it sounds great on FM (not that I listen to the radio often)!

Yeah, forget it! I'm gonna keep it and put it in the shop in a few weeks and get the belts replaced.

Mono - does it have phono inputs?

Yeah, it's got phono inputs as well as auxiliary inputs.

Using the auxiliary inputs results in no sound and using the phono inputs results in waaaaay too much sound and distortion - so much that I have to turn the volume on the iPod all the way down and the bass on the Crown all the way down to get barely sound decent. Using the iPod dock results in the same thing.

Mono - look in the Boombox Tach area for a thread entitled ''Brand new silver box'. This is the device I use the connect ipod (ipod to twin line out - this box - twin phono to twin phono) to boxes with phono only.

It gets rid of the sound issues you refer to. I think someone has put in a heads up as to where you can locate one in the US.
