I bought this from Henry in Hong Kong months ago... paid for the slow shipping, and it just arrived last week. Possibly the only one, or one of very few in the U.S.

At about the same time I bought a similar model from RBJ that I want to keep... Dont need two of them!

This 8000 has dual cassette.

Tape A is non working.
Japan tuner dial, meaning low FM numbers...
It is GOLD in color.

Sounds amazing down low, gets muddy up top, compares well with my GF-777 (919) I had.

Again, its totally great, just dont like having two of something!

A big 3pc bbx thats about the size of a GF-777 in length and thickness, shorter over all in height.

Will be repackaged in Henrys amazing and carefully built box that got it here from Asia!

Aww shucks guys...Thanks. I just got home from the awards ceremony. It's really humbling to have the respect of your peers and coworkers. I was acompanied by my wife and Momma. My mug will be on the news tomorrow from an interview. My wife did manage to take a couple of pics of me and Jeff outside his hotel while on the way to the ceremony. I was trying to decide which box to accessorize with my color uniform and quickly grabbed the Helix to pose with jeff & his wonderful Marantz. Too bad he was around on business and limited on time. I was gonna take him on a high speed chase and fire my patrol AR-15 Next time Jeff. It was a pleasure meeting you bro.

It is located on THE BACK SIDE.

Can be easily glued back together for all you patient model building types out there!
