I'm suprise no one has taken it. It does sound good with clear sound and ofcourse a pair of 8 inch speakers .

Ya, I agree with Tim - I have Sony CFS-99, and it's the worst sounding box I have - both Sonys look like pretty awesome though

Do the speaker cases lock in the open position so you can carry it w/o them moving?

Yes they do lock to open position, Not a bad box .

Ramon, I'll keep that in mind!

In Sony's defense - I want to say that it's the worst sounding box I have - because the other boxes I have are JVC M90 and National 5350 and such - any boombox would sound worse than those - not just my Sony. By itself - the Sony is not bad at all!
