I want!!!!
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice
Verry
Google Translate doesn't make it sound so appealing (!):
"Lack of use too, so I can not play the tape. When I needed to play in the degradation of such a belt or I would have. premise repair, radio only if you think you think. Check the seller before the radio was working at a large JARIJARI normal sound is not good. broken antenna, no damage. accessories are the main picture, description, the original box (has torn the cover), all of the code. There was not a remote control. some damage in a box."
Truncated and riddled with contradictions - hmm where have I seen posts like this before..
And that remote in the picture looks great, especially considering it's not actually there.
Japanese doesn't translate well into English and some words/phrases mean other things...
There's not much difference between that auction and the auction I won my Toshiba from,
http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k59519809 , and my box is in mint condition.
Trust me, there's nothing wrong with that box.
altavista/babelfish translation (by my opinion it is more correct)
"TOSHIBA Toshiba FMAM radio-cassette tape recorder RT-S93 at that time thing brand-new similar Because you did not use even in remainder, tape playback is not possible. . . Certainly whether those where when playing back in the necessary belt and the like has deteriorated you think. * If repair prerequisite, you can think with only the radio, you think. * Before the exhibiting at the radio it operated verified, you think that it is the good normal state where it does not do either big [jiyarijiyari] sound. ■FM/AM you verified. * It breaks into the antenna, there is no damage. * As for the accessory the substance and the instruction manual which have been taken to the photograph, the original box (it has torn cover), the cord/code is everything. * Remote control did not remain. . . * There is some damage in the box. * When something there is a defective place, because it does not guarantee, it is optimum to the one which likes repair and the like. * If asking, it can receive, the place where it becomes matter of concern we would like us to answer as much as possible. * After arrival, at [nokuremu] [noritan] we ask."

This one:
http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k59519809
I'm assuming that the RT-S93 has a starting bid for 25,000 yens which in U.S. dollars is $255.00. One bidder has bidded 5000 yens which is in U.S. dollars $51.00.

Wow Mono so you won the RT-S93!
Actually, you have that reversed - the starting bid was 5000 yen.
I believe this is the auction site I mentioned on a thread some time ago called (JapanAuctionCenter.com).
Congrats Mono you got yourself a gem!
I guess whoever wins this one will have the whole package Owners Manual and original box!
One day Richard will sell me his....
(I keep hinting)
I wish I had the nerve to start bidding there!
I have no doubt that it would be a safe and honest place to bid and win, just because of the culture...
I love Japan!
Great box too... amazing that there are grails like that still to be had.
Gentlemen, I believe we are now looking under every rock. Mining in new territory!
Could this be a sign of the times? That our normal avenues of supply are drying up?!
