it's going from a novelty to stupidity, really quick

Yep, Stupid! If it was something really nice he would make more money selling it on display rather than trying to trick someone.
I'm sure he's laughing all the way to the bank after the first few actually brought decent money. Heck the last one he sold was only an AM/FM radio, no cassette. What fools are actually paying for these unknown boxes? Do they really think they are playing the lottery with this guy? This is like playing a fixed lottery that you have no chance of winning.
Uh, isn't that a member of this board? I don't see what the big deal is, considering the last one sold for only $50. To me $50 would be worth it just for the surprise factor.

I guess some people value $50 differently.
A surprise would be right but guaranteed it's not going to be a $250 box for $50 no seller would do that, they would open it up, show it and sell it for $250. Just my take on reality!

i'd rather have the $50 for gas!
Its a fun concept for the risk takers out there.
I dont think Id throw down on it myself... I like to watch though!

From what I've read this is a well respected member of this board. Have a look at the previous threads on this topic...
I think it's a cool concept and the people bidding for these blasters are doing it for fun . I can't see anyone expecting to pull an M90 out of a hat (box)!
First he was selling an idea. Now it's mystery boxes. This seller has latched onto something, and it seems to be working. No, I wouldn't expect an M90... or an M70 (or anything he could get more for by showing it), but even a 100% working jvc egg (he says it's a jvc) is worth a few bucks... although maybe not when you add in $35 for shipping.
But I guarantee there are lots of gamblers out there, and this guy has tapped into that. I wish him well. He's "thinking outside the (boom)box."
