What's the deal with these Chinese GF777s?

venturesforth2 - 2011-05-01 05:03

I'll shortly be selling a tidy GF777 that I recently came across (will be amazing condition once we clean it up and put new belts in it). However, I just noticed that GF777s seem to be coming out of China on eBay with 'new' stickers on them. Are these fakes?

Oh, BTW, I'm a 'newbie' cos the email address I used before is no longer current and I can't log into the new style board without it.

Google the city the seller lives in, and see if it's right near the ocean.  If so, I wouldn't buy.  Salt water corrosion.  Happened to a GF-9191 I bought from there.

Also, if the shipping price exceeds the price of the unit, don't buy.......You won't get much back if you decide to return it.

This sticker in arabic (not turkish),  Z-versions and X-versions (before 1980) for middle east, asia, africa and australia/oceania came with that sticker, and it's a voltage selector notification.

I'm not thinking of buying one, as I have one to sell, which I bought this morning for the price of two Big Macs! I was just wondering what was the deal with all these 'new' 777s from China.
