subbo - 2011-06-17 05:26

just checked the link out aye thats a nice box there superflyguy, indeed it is it looks a lot like a conion, but dont quote me i could be wrong

ghettoman - 2011-06-17 06:28

Subbo it is a conion, just under a different brand, they were also sold under the brand Helix..

Nice Box - Yes,

Desirable - Yes,

Rare - Yes,

but if i paid that for a box i'de have to hide in embarrassment..

for £500 i'de want it delivered in a limo and i'de want a caribbean Cruise thrown in on the deal,£500 for one ghetto just does'nt do it for me..

Nice Box ?  -  No, Big and  flashy

Desirable?  - Not for everyone

Rare? -  Not so rare, there are more rariest boxes

It's like a cheapo discolite became a desirable box, after well known music video.

hype, hype and hype.

lav.loo - 2011-06-17 07:36

id,e pay 500 sheets for it, if i had 500 sheets of course, ye like BM sez SUBBO it is the conion, just under a different brand name

litfan - 2011-06-17 07:40

I`ll give him £5 for it.

davebush - 2011-06-17 09:15

check it again............its gone up to £750

ghettoman - 2011-06-17 09:16

Well richard,i will take your £5,and i will up my bid to £12.50,but i'de want free postage with that..

I agree with you metad,i had a conion, and i had a discolite, and i did learn that they were more for flashy looks than good sound, but i have to admit the conion did sound nice, and it did look good, the discolite looked good but sounded pretty awfull really,i only sold the conion because of its general poor-ish condition and because the bass and treble did'nt work, the discolite i sold because i got bored with the flashing lights, and after that there was nothing else appealing about it..i sold it for £200 to a friend, and he doubled his money when he sold it on ebay, but i knew he would,i even told him he would, but i was happy with what i got anyway as i only paid £150 for it myself..and i dont miss it like i would if i sold some of my faves..

Wow dave i only just read your post, now thats getting ridiculous ! i thought £500 was alot, but that is mad ! its been on 2 days and no one bought it at £500,that should have told them something, that they are not going to get £500 for it,so putting it up to £750 is crazy !!

ill up the bid richard....il swap a matchbox for it.....

Lav you wouldn't want it for that coin lad....It's a known fact that m90's sound way better than conions....and if im correct mate you diddn't think much on the sound of my m90...mind you Im not keen on it much these days eather....boxes just don't turn me on anymore...like they used to...

I think the reason your less interested in boxes is maybe a simular reason to me,i dont have anyone close to me thats into stereos, you need a friend closer to your area thats into boxes, you need to get outside with some D cells and a box,go to the park or something and chillax with some tunes..

the thing with me,i wont take any out incase it gets robbed, also i feel that i'm too old to be seen outside playing music on a boombox, and i'm not into listening to music as much anymore,i'de rather mess around on the internet or watch TV..

radio.raheem - 2011-06-17 10:02

tim was my companion for that lad and now hes gone...ditto

claret.badger - 2011-06-17 10:20

A couple of us on Boomboxery put in offers - under the MONKEY
and they PUT IT UP!

Too rich for this badger

Ha ha ha Cool..never mind,so i take it a monkey is £500 ?

i highly doubt they will get £750 for it..£500 sheets was abit rich but i suppose it was do-able because its a nice example and rare in uk,but i think they've blown it by putting it up..

claret.badger - 2011-06-17 10:53

Yeh I thought so

I even emailed the seller and gave them a "reality check" saying - you should have started bidding at 99p rather than list that box at 750 - warning ebay will take a cut of that at point of insertion as well as at the time of checkout!

I then upped my offer and offered her cash money - upon collection - only to be told she only accepts Paypal NOT cash!

Either this is fishy - or the user is daft!

lav.loo - 2011-06-17 11:48

after reading your posts guys it,s clear something is dodgy here, no shots of the rear of the box either il,e drop my offer of 500 sheets to a pair of old work boots iv,e got up for grabs

litfan - 2011-06-17 12:09

Lunacy. I have seen a C-100, and, that is why i have never got one. They look very impressive, but, the quality just ain`t there. It`s all bell`s and whistles. The m90, towers over it.

subbo - 2011-06-17 12:17

now ive heard that ile give a pair of my crusty old hiking socks for it

litfan - 2011-06-17 12:20

A pair of crampon`s? I said crampon`s, not tampon`s.

ha ha very good, but i doubt if we put the offer together of my boots and your socks we,de even get one of the antenna screws, we,de probably get a very highly toxic gas cloud instead

litfan - 2011-06-17 12:26

Yeah, but, what about an old ladies bicycle seat?

ghettoman - 2011-06-17 12:29

i wear my socks for soo long, that when i finally take them off to change, they come alive, and leggit under the bed

ha ha lol, i use a blow lamp to get mine off in the mornin, mind you i throw them at the wall and if they don,t stick i put them back on, regardless of the smell that if converted to energy would probably keep britain in electricity for the next 100 years

ha ha lol, if we put all our stuff together surely its got to be worth it, no harm in trying

ghettoman - 2011-06-17 12:53

Actually,if you got a cow or 2,connect it up to a tank, collect all the butt wind, you could run your car for free, you'de have to get it converted to run off butt gas though,i wonder why know one is doing it yet ?

subbo - 2011-06-17 13:16

the big oil giants getting in the way

radio.raheem - 2011-06-17 13:23

I offer my undies...only after they have been worn inside out for a month then the lass and british gas would litrally be inverted

The conion looks the best...the m90 IS the best...

billy.the.binman - 2011-06-17 14:27

i dunno, seeing what some stuff goes for im not surprised at the asking price and i wouldnt be surprised if it sold.

I sold my aiwa 990 for £199 on ebay couple weeks ago, it was at a starting price of £199 to keep people from bidding on it so i could update the auction later on.  even so it got a bid.

and to be honest - i would stick my clairtone up at that price too.  doubt i would want to part with it for less!

litfan - 2011-06-17 15:08

199 quid, excellent. Could never sell mine though. It`s like new, fully working.

radio.raheem - 2011-06-17 15:17

Im almost tempted to put my gf1000 up there for a grand...i doubt i could part with it tho...

ghettoman - 2011-06-23 13:25

well someone took the plunge for £650,

Greedy seller + idiot with money and no brains = Deal !!

Now she's grown in confidence and found a fool for her conion, she milking it for all its worth, now she's listed a sony FH for £750 !! well good luck with that one !!

davebush - 2011-06-23 14:07
