Dave i've bought from japan mate..its sort of easy but you can never work out what the total is going top be until you've bought the box and worked out the extra fees,but if you are dedicated and not bothered too much about the money,you will be fine,thats what it was like with me,because i simply i had to have a GF999 and aint no amount of money was gunna stop me i did it once but i'm not sure i would do it again because prices have gone up alot since i got my boxes..

I have to say metad,thats not bad,especially when the origonal box and packing was crispy clean with no creases or ware to it..i cant say you will ever find another like that mate,Ever !..its a real gem and someone is going to be real happy with it..i would be..its a stunner !!

I'de love it if someone from here got it,i would love to see some close ups of the box,and of the box and packing,just to see how crispy new it is..

i just had another look at the GF808 -aka- GF555/666..

i cant beleve no one has gone for that,it is just as fresh and new as the 757..wish that was in uk..i'de be all over it like stink !!!

But price is not too high, especially for a russian boombox market.

Metad,i dont know much about russia,but i did hear that it used to have alot of poor areas (like most countries) but in recent years,there has been a boom of new rich wealth in russia,i have seen some russian buyers buy boxes from chinese sellers,i remember ben/royal wanting something like £500 for his lasonic Trc975,and i'm sure it went to a russian buyer,and money did'nt seem to matter much because they were very wealthy,how is it ? is it cash from oil investments or something ?

yes good idea lad,i think i could do that,sell my butt to some lonely rich 60

year old spinsters in mansions,get some good money together to

buy a new collection of japan domestic only boxes,if i could do that,them old

women can use me and abuse me all they want,i will just think about the

boxes while i'm getting whipped and abused..

Hehh ? you broke a TRC975 handle ? how did you do that man ? they are strong..you could hang an elephant on one of those,i'm sure they have a metal bar running throught the middle to make them stronger..you could try a 931 handle,they could be the same lenth..

Both my aiwa 880's were in a worse state than that j88, now they are mint and fully restored....what a shame seing her in that condition.....I'll never buy from japan as prices have shot up, let alone the postage..
