many 1pc boomers tried to look like 'component' systems with detachable speakers (I think 3pc boomers were a bit more expensive), but this one does it rather differently, with the speakers on top of the main unit, rather than either side.

Then you look at the back... & it's a 1pc.

I have the brown version, with silver woofer rings.  Looks great on a bedroom chest.  Surprising amount of bass from the small speakers.  Great tape deck (unlike the 2000 which has a crude non-motorized deck).
