Now we know what a JVC M90 Original Box looks like
chris69 - 2012-02-28 07:57
Well this is the first time i'm seen the original cardboard box from an M90 and just as i thought it is plain and boring with no nice graphics like a Conion/Helix. Very plain like the M70 box but i bet this one will go quite high just because of the original box.

True Chris.
It's a typical JVC pakage. Black/Red graphics were the standard for all JVC large electronics in the time.
This should be interesting one to watch....

It's going to be fun watching this auction soar. It's funny how something we all so willingly discarded can be so valuable today.

You know seriously guys the absolute best m90 i have ever seen was a few years ago on ebay. I mean this thing was perfect dead MINT aside from the tape deck needing belts. It did not have one single scratch or mark anywhere and it was a beauty in every sense of the word. Never seen a better one before or since and it only sold for around $750.00 and the others at the time were selling for around $1500.00
I didn't have the $$ or i would have definately bid on that one! I can't understand why it didn't go higher and to this day i've made it my goal to only buy one if i can get it around that price and dead mint.....big dreams eh

Shoot for the sky Chris!! Nothing wrong with dreams

it will be interesting watching this one as it will fetch more with it's original box but the unit itself is not the best...i would rather spend my money on a better one without it's box!

Meh.
Original owner yes, it's nice to hear that. Tweeter acting wierd/not working, some discoloration on top/sides he says; likely fading.
Box! yes, but rear large flap is cut off and no foam to speak of.
It's a decent M90, 6.5 ish, and a raggedy piece of cardboard. the current price is already more than it's worth in my eyes.

Nice to see the M90 original box,but really,i would'nt be bothered about it,christ,i throw cardboard boxes out every day,if all i have to do is print JVC M90 on an old cardboard box and get loads of ££ for it,i think i will experiment on that in my back kitchen lol,see if i can perfect it..maybe i could get into the carboard box business lol..i could make M90 Boxes,777 Boxes,M70 boxes,Discolite boxes..and i bet the poly inserts would'nt be expensive to make either..

Looks like crap to me and isn't worth a damn .
I did bid though because he is only about 3 hours from me.
retrodos - 2012-02-29 15:45
It going for that much, sold one a while ago in much better condition restored for $850 at auction, that look like crap condition to me, yes it has a box. But come on people, look at what you are bidding on, before bidding? Can't blame the seller, as he started it at $99 dollars, it's the stupid buyers this time with more money then brains and he selling it AS-IS no returns!!
ghettoman - 2012-02-29 16:11
That box has one of my biggest hates of all time,it has wear on the body around the volume, that makes it look ugly and worn and it cant be repaired..who owned it,a freekin bear with huge dobbing fingers, that looks a wreck and i would'nt even bid on it because i could never live with it in that condition..
Chris,i gotcha..i will design the graphics on my EtchaSketch
did you ever get them in usa ? late 70s early 80s..

I have no problem at all with anybody, just just stating the obvious on how silly some bidders are, not you or anyone directly, but a comment.
bredgeo - 2012-03-03 00:37
Cannot believe the price it is at right now!!!!! Insane!
radio.raheem - 2012-03-03 01:30
the bidders are braindead....as sombody stated the m90 looks a wreck and it's only a cardboard box...no pollies etc....good luck to the seller though....if there are fools outhere can't blame him

If I am paying over a thousand it better be BRAND NEW in the box ....
I love the box but this is the reason I will never own one . There will always be someone who will pay almost 2000 dollars for a peice of #@#@ .
