johnnywonny - 2012-07-01 13:58
Hello, I can imagine you know what the model looks like, there are nothing faulty with it, I have had many portable stereo radio cassette players over the years and know the difference between a spares and repairs verses a fully working model. The price is fair , am not looking to sell on ebay, will keep it for another 10 years if not sold on here within a week to a genuine enthusiast. My main experience is sellinng tandberg cassette decks, in my opinion, my JVC is as good as it gets, hence the price.

The picture would be for the potential buyer to verify its stated condition...

even a blind man likes to feel the cloth, before he parts with his money
i ain't being funny, but for that money it's got to be mint and i'd wanna see it from every angle

For that much coin I'd want it delivered by Lucy Lawless. Wearing a Tomb Raider outfit. Her not me.

It is what it is, a fantastic example of 1980's technology, no glib or smarty pants comments are needed, like so much in this world, if you are a serious enthusiast, you'll know that no pics are needed for a very rare item, most are dreamers and trolls ! only 3 days left on here
lav.loo - 2012-07-04 09:48
ofcourse pics are needed if your buying something, would you lay out £350 without seeing what your buying??
docs - 2012-07-04 09:49
I must say that you have pretty much no clue about anyone on this forum so to state what you did is not really called for. You will not sell it at that price, less the issue with lack of pictures and detailed information. Good luck keeping it for the next ten years in the same condition. If you sell it for your asking price congratulations but dont come on our forum just to sell your beloved stereo as though this is another ebay opportunity. These people are boombox enthusiasts and experts who hate seeing posts like this week after week just to see the OP disappear, you tell me who the true troll is.
deliverance - 2012-07-04 09:49
why are you acting like a complete knob ? why not just post pictures of your glorious box
bison - 2012-07-04 11:33
where abouts in manchester are you located?

What a thread! It escalated so quickly, all because the OP refused and still refuses to post a single picture. This alone is the most alarming part of this proposed deal and I would highly caution any member who cannot actually go see the box.
Regarding this quote I highlighted, it should be noted that the rarer the item, the more important pictures actually are! Not the other way around. An M70 is not rare either, although perhaps a minty one is less common. Posting pics could have supported your claims and gotten it sold within a day, who knows.

bendycat - 2012-07-04 18:12
silly comments they may be, but you are playing with the big boys here
If you want to disprove us then, please photo the m70 with a news paper with the current date on it in the pic
will the cardboard box come with bricks or bottles of water to make it feel weighty
I will bow down if i am wrong
johnnywonny - 2012-07-07 17:51
It has been sold, many thanks for all of the interest and the worthwhile comments on a sale.
