Handsome UK based Philips D8444 seeks new owner!

In a moment of boombox madness I snagged a grey Philips D8444 to go with my silver one!
Back now in the land of the partially sane I realised I don’t need one in each colour so am offering this lovely grey one to any UK forum members before I resort to bunging it on eBay!
Its in good cosmetic condition, bar a few scratches on the handle, and has been thoroughly cleaned inside and out, including cleaning the switches, tape heads, capstan etc. Its been run on mains and batteries and is spot on. Tape plays, pauses, rewinds and fast forwards perfectly though I haven’t tested recording. Radio works on all bands. In fact everything works bar the little green led for fm stereo! Its also missing the end of the aerial but as you can see in the pic theres plenty of it left! Battery compartment is squeeky clean as you can see. Includes the power lead but not the tape. Its a big beautiful box!!

Haha, you got boombox virus, and it takes time to get used to stop yourself and say "no", when you see another boombox.

Ha ha, nice one!...The Cure is one of my favourite 80's bands so I might just have to play some on the D8444 when I get home tonight

Richmond...but not the Surrey one! I'm in North Yorkshire so not exactly around the corner from you. I am however heading down south next week to Hythe in Hampshire (near Southampton), not that that helps a great deal either but its a lot nearer!!
Happy to post it though. Found that Hermes is quite reasonable for delivery and I'm a good wrapper (a crap rapper but a good wrapper 
)
