After a lot of soul searching and valuable input from members here, I've decided to sell my beloved Promax (Tecsonic) J1 Super Jumbo so that I can fully restore my Clairtone. The SuperJumbo tape decks DO NOT work and the unit only works when plugged in. The aerials are intact and original as are all of the buttons, sliders, tape deck doors, and battery door. The pots and switches will need to be cleaned, but everything works (although there is some residual static and sometimes you have to wiggle the switches). All of the lights work, clock works (although battery for it needs to be replaced), speakers work (there is a little static unless you fiddle with the volume switch to get it to go away), radio works, all of the inputs work (I use my iPod to play music through the RCA inputs), not sure if the mic jack or mic mixing slider works since I don't have a mic. There are some cosmetic flaws like a small chip out of the top (bottom pic) and some scratches. Its not perfect but its beautiful! Please PM me offers. I would much rather it go to a board member than have to list it on ePay. I live in San Diego California and prefer a FTF sale since it would save the buyer $ as well as avoid shipping issues, but I am willing and able to ship. PayPal preferred.

Well if u had to make a choice,you picked the right one TBomb,and fixing up your clairtone is the way to go.Good luck with the sale.
