I am selling my Vela Disco - 1 DK-990R

It belonged to my grandfather, and was recently given to me by my grandmother. I am not a collector and I know that it will just collect dust in my attic. After I did some research and discovered it's value, I have decided to sell it and put it into my daughters savings account because I know that my grandfather would rather me use it towards her savings that it sit up there unused.

All of the lights are in working order and no parts are missing. Cosmetic wise it's in quite good shape. We have used the radio and that works great, even in the basement! However I am unsure of if the tape deck works. I have never used a tape in my life, so maybe they weren't good tapes and just don't work. Maybe it's the stereo. I don't know. It makes a humming/buzzing noise when I try to play it. The tape counter works though, and the tape turns. Like I said before, I'm not a collector and cassette tapes are before my time so I'm clueless as to what the issue may or may not be.

That being said I am asking $1,000 Or best reasonable offer. I have done my research and I know that some are sold just for restoration parts in the $450-$700 range and that ones in excellent condition sell for as much as $1,850.
