TDK D-90 endangered species?

eclipsedave - 2011-02-09 13:03

What's up with media these days, in general? In the late 80's, I dubbed originals from my friends by using the ol' standby: the TDK D-90. Are they currently in production? If not, how rare are they and would it pay to stock up now? I'm very curious to read your responses on this subject.

Not sure if they are in production but at my workplace we still get regularly replenished pack of 5 stocks from our supplier, so at the very least there's quite a stockpile out there.

These can still be found here and there.

The cheapest I've seen them anywhere online is for packs of 50 or 100 for around 78¢ each. I got these for 48¢ each. Did I get a good deal?

I don’t know how rare they are, but I would say they're not worth stocking up on.

Just my opinion, the lowest I would stock up on would be TDK AR.

TDK D is still being produced by imation TDK Life On Record. No worries.
