Hi ya all!
I'm new at here, but I'm thrilled that there are so much people keen on boomboxes! I live in Finland and it's getting harder every year to find these babies anymore.
Currently I have Aiwa TPR-926 (with non-working tape deck), a Crown SZ-71 and a Sharp gf-6060. I also bought a Jetstar boombox from ebay, but I haven't received it yet.
Does anyone know anything about this boombox? I don't know the model number yet. I tried to google it, but with no luck.
I also had a 3D2 a while ago, but I don't anymore.
So, I'd like to get one again because it was a brilliant boombox. If anyone has one for sale or knows where to get it, let me know!
I'm willing to buy one if the price is reasonable.
Thanks!
I ve some 3D Hitachis. If there s a 3D2 too, i ll send you a PM later today.
I'm a bit fond of the old Hitachi 3Ds...
I do have a spare 3D2, but don't get too excited, it's a scrapper. So, When you do find one - (they pop up on eBay from time to time), I might be able to help you out with some parts. Price-wise, don't worry, the 3Ds don't go for any sort of big money, so you won't be getting a loan out for a 3D2 when one pops up.
It's a good little boomer the 3D2, nice sparkly sound & a bit of thump from the centre woofer. Sure, not as loud as it's bigger brothers, but a fine example.
Meanwhile, this is the best excuse I've had for weeks for throwing these pics again (the 3D2 is at the middle left):
Also here's a scan of the 3D2 from my Hitachi catalogue:
Hello.
Has anyone heard anything about Blasterpunk? I paid him (8 weeks ago) for a 3D2 but I still haven't received it. He's been answering my messages occasionally and has told me that he has sent it already. Still nothing. Getting worried.
Tough little box , this 3D2.
My brother owned one , bought it new way back.
The woofer was rattling hard in the end.
It had a hard life.
Found a few on Ebay
