Somewhere around 86-87 I got from my parents a Boombox. I have been to so many websites looking for this (not to buy, just to see it again, but buying is never out of the question of course) I am quite sure it was a Sanyo, as I've seen other Sanyo's and the knobs and switches looked the same. I believe my parents bought it at Sears. It had dual tape decks. Two speakers. The buttons and dials were all black, except for the one record button was red. It had input mic and output speaker jacks, 1/8 plug. It was NOT Synchronized dubbing. I have never found another boombox after it that WASN'T synchronized. Non-synchronized dubbing made for awesome custom mix tapes.
It also had Hi speed dubbing. I would press a button and the dubbing would go twice as fast. There was a 3 digit counter under the recording side.
Does anybody have any ideas what this one could be?
I also had a single tape deck, single speaker "boombox" that I got when I was 12. I dont' even remember the name of it. I loved that thing! :0)
This is a great site and I've been to it often and have gone thru every page of pictures, just to take a walk down Memory lane!
try this link..go to the sanyo section...you should be able to find it here....good luck
