Morning all
I am looking for one of the following three boxes
Lasonic TRC-931
Crown SZ5100
Unisef (Dont know the model number but the one that looks like the Crown!)
Preferably working, if not let me know anyway
Payday next week folks so make me happy

How Doo,the unisef model is an Sz5000,if you are in uk,not many of these show up much,i've wanted one for a while, but i just dont think they are worth what they sell for,i have a crown and i used to have a lasonic 931 but you will have to look towards usa to find one of those,i think the crown would be the most easiest to pick up,but you'll have to have deep pockets, they can sell for between £100-£200,ridiculous i know, but you got to follow the trend i guess..
Hiya mate. Yeah I gathered the Unisef would be the hardest to get, due to the lack of them that I've seen, the lasonic from the USA is a possibility. What's your personal thoughts on the crown? I'm more than willing to pay prices like that for either of the three boxes when one turns up

hi man,yes the crown is an all round good box,it is a cheapo box but the sound is quite cool..its light as a feather because there is'nt much inside it,not alot really goes wrong with them apart from belts, static on volume and sliders, the ariels can be quite valrenable too,i remember when they came out in around 1987,they cost £99,the crown came out first, then they started making the unisef later, they went down in price to £79 just before they were faded out,i actually bought a unisef a few years ago off evilbay, got it for (i think) £20 it was pretty nackered but it was good for parts..
which part of uk are you in man ?
From what I've heard it would be ideal for me, is it nice and load?
I'm from Rochdale, near Manchester, what about yourself?
**loud
im.out.of.hear - 2011-02-03 08:30
i am also a manchester fellow..
hmmm its quite loud, bass is'nt too bad either,it does'nt thump hard but its wayy good enough..wondering if anyone else reads this they could give their oppinion on it,to give you a better, clearer idea..anyone ???
billy.the.binman - 2011-02-03 11:16
yeah i think theyre good for what they are (ice cream tubs with speakers)
bass is ok, sound in general is ok. its all about the looks on these
i have 2, one mint, the other not, id possibly be tempted to sell one. mine are crowns btw.
i also have a mint 5100 with the protective plastic still on the face of the unit, and i am willing to sell too, if the price is right, by the way to me is not that loud, but is very light so you can take it every where and not get tire.
pm me if you are interested.
Pm'ed you fellas!
I have 2 mint unisef but the price would have to be good as i love mine..im in the uk too..but more than likley mine would be pick up ONLY as im just to buisy at the moment and dont have packing..
Jake, I'm close to you in Bury.
I've had the Unisef and currently have the Lasonic. The Lasonic is a better sounding box and would be the one I would recommend to you over the other two.
Your welcome to see it some time so you can judge for yourself.

Thanks mate, I've already sorted a deal for the Crown.
The Lasonic will be next on my 'to buy' list, so when that time comes, I will take you up on your offer of coming having a sample.
