Welcome Anthiny!
I can see why you want one now but I think that's a rare box or at least I haven't seen more than a few pictures. Good luck on your quest.
I have one as well and enjoy it very much.

And yes it is rare. Only a few of us on the site have them as far as I know.
Welcome aboard Anthiny!

It's my RX-CW55. I've had it forever. Before I was married! It thumps like crazy for it's size and seems bulletproof!
No you all dont understand, I have the same message listed under a different e-mail , I had one it was a gift from some one whom had passed that was very close to me and it was stolen out of my car in 1992 , i had gotten it brand new out of the box from service merchandise and the price was 300.00 with out the 10 d batteries , i have been looking for one since about 1998 , I have had no luck

I think he's looking for someone to be willing to part with theirs Boomer.
I can tell you this Anthiny, whoever is willing to part with one, it won't be cheap. They aren't exactly everywhere ready to replace. Just advising you ahead of time...
Oh i for got to include in the mix that i had an entire KISS collection of records with a few old school rap records stolen with a Technichs record player stolen at the time , Im 37 years old with a quest to find one of these Rare birds that i have once enjoyed listening to Led Zeps stairway to heaven with the loved on i lost ..................
Oh i do undestand that it will not be cheap but atleast if someone out there say's Hey i have one and this is what i want for it , i will know i have a shot at finding one and i will have time to say yeah lets do it , Instead of bidding like hell on e-bay and paying x amout of dollars for it an never getting it , I had bid like hell on the one someone on stereo2go did he/she won and never got the item ! That realy sucks...... well i thank all of you for helping and i do appreciate all the effort
Thanks
Anthony with an o not an i ,lol
Anthony, are you saying that you don't want to deal with eBay because you're afraid of not winning and/or not getting an item you win? ...and so, you only want to buy a C300 from an S2G member?
My humble opinion is that if you rule out eBay, you'll really decrease your chances of finding a C300. If you snipe (bid high enough and place your bid in the last few seconds of an auction), you'll increase your chances of winning what you want. As for not getting it, be sure to pay with Paypal, which will reimburse you up to $2,000 (depending on the seller's history) if you don't get your item.
I know that some S2G members have this model, but it doesn't sound like anyone is ready to sell... at least, not right now. If you're patient and persistent (and give some time for more members to see your post), one might eventually turn up. Of course, like oldskool said, it might not be any cheaper than if you bought it on eBay.
Good luck in your searching.
Well I am not going to rule out ebay , The last two i have seen for sale had been purchased and one of the two users had not recieved the item , But i am not some youngster looking for something to make a million off of either , i just would love the chance to have something that ment so much to me back in my life thats all ...... but im am Greatful for all of you with the help to end my quest .
Okay remember what i said about e-bay well here it is Posted Sun May 23 2004 11:58 AM Hide Post
Thanks, Retro. I appreciate it.
Update:
Ebay (auction side), as usual, would do nothing about this. They wouldn't even explain why the guys account was suspended for. I honestly think that Ebay works far too slowly to be of any help anyways.
Contacted Paypal, and they opened a case. 10 days later, I had a full refund.
Moral of the story:
Watch out for low volume Ebay sellers (10 or less) that refuse to take Paypal. This guy didn't offer Paypal, but I insisted on it, which really saved my rear end. I know, sellers gripe that they nickel and dime you to death, but no other payment service processes fraud claims nearly as fast as Paypal does. If the seller asks you to pay his fees, I'd say do it if you want the radio bad enough.
Oh, and by the way, aclinetech, I'm glad that you didn't have to go through this crap. I know you wanted that radio and were mad that I outbid you, but you'll get your RX-C300 someday.
This is the 2nd Canadian seller that has grossly misrepresented what they sold(clujn- I'll never make the mistake of not checking out everything before leaving feedback again), or just flat out tried to rip me off in the last 12 months. It won't stop me from buying "Canadian" , but I think I'll stick with more established sellers from here on out. I've had 5-6 great transactions from Canada, so for the most part I have been very successful in my transactions with Canadian sellers.

I am Aclinettech under e-bay................
panasonic.fan - 2008-06-20 09:10
Anthiny, you quoted something (unintentional I know) that refers to someone that I mistakenly ID'd as a bad seller in a transaction that I had quite a few years ago.
If you actually read the thread that Anthiny is referring to, I mistakenly ID'd him as someone I had a previous bad deal with. I was wrong- apologized for it long ago- and will not allow my mistake to be brought back up in a negative way for the person I misidentified.
Apologies (once again) to clujn.
Nah Man no biggy , I was just setting up the example of why and how come I am not so trustworthy of e-bay . Granted for every 10 thousand excellent mature and Great E-bay sellers there is always one ass in the mix whom knows what to look for and what to list and run with it . And never provide the product , E-bay is agreat tool to find a hell of alot of things but with a couple of hundred bucks in the mix im not so trustworthy. I am not a spokesman or do i work for e-bay im just saying how i feel about purchasing this item off of e-bay. I have bought a a few things off of ebay with out any problems and i will continue to do so ! But Not this Panasonic Boom Box , It will take alot of trust for me to pursue it ............Hey Remeber that conversation we had in e-mailing each other back and forth , i guess you can see that all the junk i said about how much that BoomBox means to Me Has truth behind the statements i had made .
Good to hear from you dude ............I dint intend for the link to the post to be negative at all , I was just backing up what i had wrote in this forum a couple of boxes up , thats all i intedned it for .....Yeah you know i was mad but Not in anyshape or form at you at all....................................................
Anthiny, go to boombox chat section and see Peteyawols garbage thread. You will be interested.

Good luck on your hunt!

Not Saying im done ! But sorry to say my main Goal was to find the Panasonic that was stolen from me way back when in 1992 . I Have found it and im more than thankfull for everyone's help ! This site is a great brother hood of people and individuals that go the Extra Mile to help and assist all whom enter. Its incredible and insane. Its a very strong contribution to the world of boombox / Ghetto Blasters that have been onced adored and loved by Many. It shows that there are still decent people living among us that are out to help each other . Im not a collector but who Knows I have a Sanyo C-50 (SILVER) that i had when i was a kid and i found it on eBay. But it wasent as important as the Panasonic Rx-c300. I have a Fisher PH-400 as well . They both had been radios i carried around and stuff to work and Job sites . But that Panasonic has more sentimental Value than both . Its bringing back memories of a loved one whom had passed and i still have the Led Zep tape with stairway to heaven waiting to be played on this unit to Honor My loved one's Passing on and playing his Favorite song ! Now i will be able to listen and enjoy music on this Unit with my son and show him that once before the cheap plastic and cheap engineering was once a time that Individuals shown sence of pride and ownership while developing Great Products that had crafstmanship and quality over quantity..
I am going to stay an active member of stereo2go forever.....
