i`m with pf on this,i have one of these,i do like the looks of it,but the sound could`nt be more different, you will regret buying one, you`ve desired to own the box for ever, but when you here the sound, all you will desire,is to get rid of it again, and never want to here one again,forever..
sounds like money is important to you,so i`de say..save the cash and buy a box you will be happy with..
if you want to buy a box of that shape and size, and your on a budget,i`de go for the sharp GF8989,sounds 100 times better, looks good, sounds good..

I had one of those Magnavoxes for a few years when I was a teenager. I modded it for external speakers, LED VU meter, etc. It played pretty good but did have some distortion problems. I have since graduated to a JVC Kaboom. I will never look back. The Mag was good, but if you are looking for pure clean power, the JVC Kaboom series (52 Watts) is recommended if you can find one. NOTE: Kaboom boxes sound best when plugged in. Batteries just don't cut it at high volume levels.
