I'm looking for a tape mechanism or to buy a whole Panasonic RX-5050 for parts.
I have a very nice RX-5050 I'm restoring from Stereo2go member "Masterblaster" and I need to get the tape going.
A tape mechanism from a Panasonic RX-C45 might work too.

What is the weight/measurements of one of these units? I dont think it would be 'that' costly to send. If I can get that info I can check with Japan Post and a freight forwarder I have access to thru a friends company account.

I'll have to check the weight of the RX-5050.
I would say about 10lbs.
The RX-C45 probably weighs about 15lbs.
That is an estimate of course.

Ok, just as an example 10lbs (about 4.6kg) going to Wisconsin would cost 4000 yen (around $40) by surface mail which would take up to 2 months to arrive , Economy Airmail would cost 7300 yen (about $75) which would take about 2 weeks and EMS is 8200 yen (about $86) and would get there in 3 days.

Just convert your weights to grams and enter 'Kanagawa' for nuber 3.

Thanks for checking,but that is waaaaay out of my budget.
I only paid $25.00 for the minty RX-5050 that I have pictured above,so even if I paid for the cheap shipping I would be out of budget on this boombox,as they are not very rare and you see them for sale all the time.
