spud you may have to wait in line but on the bright side some of the guys including mua are using a gf-777 modified door and if you look at the ira thead on his conion we found a sony cfs-450 door and started moding it so please check his tread for updates..another member did the same and has had good success

I knew they were rare and expensive before I posted. But then I searched some more and found out how rare. Dman.....

I don't think I want to go down the road of a modified door. Original and complete or it gets sold or parted out. It is a shame, because the rest of the box is in very good shape and complete. Maybe I should offer it for sale as a whole so someone with a so-so C-100 and a tape door can use it. OR maybe I could just gage interest on parting it out. OR I could hold onto it and see what happens.

What do you think?

spud it really not a biggie if you can deal with the fact it not the original door,i think neds mod almost looked original in his pics, i would stay with the conion that another box that everybody would like to have

if not --then anything you decide will work for you and your customers --

but if its your only one --and you enjoy that huge LOUD GHETTO sound

then keep it - and wait to find a cheapo with the correct door

It is my only C100f. It is nice... and I don't mind collecting a few Grails... but it is still not a JVC....

if you decide to part it out keep me in mind for the back cabinet
