RX-DT series parts

Hello! New to this forum Anyhow, who's the authority here on RX-DT platinum series boombox parts? Eagerly waiting for my RX-DT680 to come, already told that the cassette mechanisms 'may need work' but all else is fine and dandy (even scored the remote control!). I know, my picture shows a RX-CT900... it's the last boombox I owned that I really liked (aside from a Fisher PH-W805 that I had... I miss that one too but it really didn't hold a candle to the RX-CT900...). Had to part ways with that Panasonic cause the speakers fell apart and it just died after 15 years of playing jams to me at bedtime...
Let me know! Thanks!

Beautiful! Had I known to join this forum first instead of scouring ePay and Craigslist I would've gotten that ASAP! I'm going to tinker with the RX-DT680 for now; I do have a shelf system SA-AK15 that I am contemplating on selling off as well as some other stuff. You should hold on to at least the one in the box... I can see that being a very coveted boombox, more so than it is now
So what did your cleaning the internals of the RX-DT680 involve? Would you know anyone who has parts for it? I'd like to put together a thread when I get mines and document all things related to it... thanks
