I splashed out, on the boxed toshiba sx1000. Look`s like, it has 1 slider knob missing. Does anyone have one spare please. I used to have some, that i took off a scrap wx-1 top unit, but, i can`t seem to find them anywhere. I think, i may have posted them to someone.

Thanks lav, but, i think, i have made a rod for my own back, by criticizing boomboxery. I think, people think i`m some sort of moaner/whinger. I`m not. When the doctors tell your family, there is nothing they can do, and, your son will die, it makes you into a different person. It`s only because, my family pleaded with the neurosurgeon to do something. He did a 23hr brain bypass, which still didn`t work, and, i was in a coma for 2 months. He then decided to fit a vp shunt into my head, this worked, and, i came round. I had to learn to walk, talk, write, etc. Flippin eck, it`s like an episode of ER. Get the violins out.

Ya should have let me know aaron. I`ve got 4 laptops. 2, that i use all the time. The one i`m using now, is really ancient, it`s a packard bell m5264, use it all the time, i love it. It just weighs a ton. I have toshiba 17" screen one, and, an acer 17" one. These are upstairs, on the shelf. Tosh, is still boxed.

ha ha if only Rich, i got acer aspire 5551 running on windows 7, it does the job very well with a 3 dongle, i'm quiet surprised it runs fast and smooth
