The only thing with those is you're really going to disappoint whoever else was bidding on it, especially if they were willing to spend a lot more than you did, and the auction just disappeared! But I suppose you do have to be a cheeky barsteward if you really want something!

dezdappa2 - 2013-10-28 17:48

Yeh guys it was a mad price it went for....but guess what I had already got my hands on it before the bid ended for£600 and I kid you not guys I'm not making it up. I never owned a big Ben M90 so I wanted to knhow what all the rave was about and wanna compare it to the AiWa cs880 but I think the AiWa will win On the bass end. What I have noticed with the JVC M90 it's bright on the top end. When I got it this evening I don't think the guy who I bought it off had time to end the auction but trust me this JVC was right on my door step and I never ever thought I would get one 3 miles from my door step, so another added bonus I couldn't refuse, so guys I am all smiles this evening

Im like a kid at Christmas dying to open presents......:-)

Who Knows after I have my play I may put it up for sale as I am more of an AiWA 880 man but the JVC has put a smile on my face £1000 less I got it for, now if someone is gonna offer me 2 working sansui cp7s one (

black)then I would consider it

cp7 is nice loud you need a dp200 pisses all over an m90 without the cost

nickfish - 2013-10-28 18:11

If the auction ran to the end (as i believe it did) then whoever won with the highest bid has a binding agreement with the seller and that is that. Any other outcome is fraudulent. If you did a deal at a lower price the sale should have been ended earlier and not allowed to run.  Dont be surprised if the seller feels legally and morally compelled to accept the extra £1000!

Like i care my friend...i dont see anybody selling you one cheap on here do you??

and even when a member does sell one cheap that doesn't mean you get the return favor.....naaa if you can get one off ebay cheap Luke i say good for you

northerner - 2013-10-29 01:37

@Luke - good luck in your search mate, just don't bankrupt yourself getting one lol

@dezsteppa2 - congrats on your deal. Pretty low of the seller to let the auction run and piss off a lot of bidders tho. If I'd won that (yeh I know I'd NEVER bid that high for any radio) I'd be really really pissed to find out it'd already gone. Not your fault tho dezsteppa2 so congrats and enjoy your M90

dezdappa2 - 2013-10-29 02:44

Cheers Northerner I do feel for the the bidders but not sure  why he didn't end it earlier maybe he ran out of time as he was  in a rush to go out ,maybe  work I don't know??.?.

Which boomer is the dp200 Rimmer ..

dezdappa2 - 2013-10-29 02:54

A JVC arhhhh

thebaron - 2013-11-01 13:47

I bid up to £941 on this in the last 5 seconds as it was around £590 at the time, and thought it would be a done deal. And then the screen refreshed and it said sold for £1601.. I was like OMG. But no way on earth I would have paid that much for it, and for a split second I thought I had paid £1601 for it by accident as I was bidding on my phone so it was a relief it was not me

That's a steep price for sure but like any auction, the item up for bid is only worth what the buyer's willing to pay.

mitchelljames - 2013-11-02 08:55

Have you seen this one Retro...

Pretty brief description for £1500 box.

thebaron - 2013-11-02 10:11

It is the exact same one, except the dude above that bought it earlier in the thread before the auction ended for £600 has decided to flip it to make £900 profit

northerner - 2013-11-02 10:29

Oh dear...not very sporting...but I suppose alls fair in love and war...the £1641 bidder might be grateful

thebaron - 2013-11-02 11:02

Maybe but I suspect it only drove that high because it was to late for the seller to pull it so he had his mates bid on it or something to stop anyone else buying it. Who knows, never say never but it is about 7-900 IMO in that condition.

If the eBay seller that is selling the boombox again is indeed Dezdappa2 who posted earlier, he shouldn't have got the boombox in the first place. Sure, it wasn't his fault that the seller didn't end the auction after agreeing to sell it to him for £600. But, as the auction ran its course and someone won the boombox for £1000 more, they were legally entitled to pay for the boombox. And the seller was legally compelled, as NickFish said, to accept payment from and post it to, the highest bidder. The seller who has listed the boombox again has not bothered to post up new pictures, or expand on its description. Assuming this seller is Dezdappa2, this boombox was bought not for his enjoyment, it was to make huge a profit for himself. In other words he's a dealer, not a collector. He certainly won't be making his profit out of me!

docs - 2013-11-02 12:07

Agreed RA, this one has underhand written allover it from beginning to end. Noone will buy this.

radio.raheem - 2013-11-02 12:41

Greed someone should email the original seller

dezdappa2 - 2013-11-03 02:11

Ok guys let me try clear a few things up so you can see what's really happening here,

Yes I managed to get the box Now some of you would agree that I shouldn't of got it,and others may say well  done for getting it. Now as the seller didn't end the auction then that's not down to me that's down to him....??????

Now onto the other other bit.....yes I do feel for the winning bidder....so as a good gesture from me I have  tried contacting the seller, but got no reply so not sure if he is still in the country or not as I stated in my original post he was in a hurry to go out, as I wanted to know from him who was the highest bidder. This is the reason why the box was back on eBay with the same pictures/decription. Now when first putting it back on I was having problems with the price as it  would only sell up to a particular price which was Way lower than what the winning bidder paid. anyway to cut a long story short a got a friend to put it on for £1500 this was  to try get the original winner to get in touch as my other method failed from the seller. So I figured if  the box was back up for sale with the original pictures and at £1500 this would prompt the winner to get in touch as other bidders that didn't win wouldnt want to pay that price hope this makes more sense for you guys now. So the box wasn't put back on to make profit it was to give the original winner a chance to have it, so if all fails I will keep hold of it

lol made me laugh. Just keep the m90 if you don't want a grand profit? lol.
Anyway, shame on the seller, seems like a right clown.

dezdappa2 - 2013-11-03 02:49

My thoughts exactly Doc Pro, so for those that didn't seem happy ....you win some, you lose some. If the box doesnt sellit makes no difference to me as I bought it to finally own a jvc m90

thebaron - 2013-11-03 02:49

If you look at the bid history both the high bidders have had over 15% of their bidding history in there with him, also go on completed listings he failed to sell it as "buy it now twice" at £600

thebaron - 2013-11-03 02:51

In other words it was probably the seller trying to stop any genuine bids at the end as you can't pull an auction after a certain point because he did not want to sell it to anyone else as it was already sold.

Looks like the worm turned on this one tonight, the chap in this thread that paid £600 as a back door deal on ebay, then listed it at £1500 (as a favor to the original high bidder that should have won it lol). Then listed it again with a more sensible starting price of £300 but it then it sold on ebay tonight for £425 quid. Now look at his feedback he has pulled a fast one on the buyer and told him "that it had already sold". Naughty Naughty Naughty, at some point learn to do the right thing and stop being dishonest
