i really like the look of a lot of these national Panasonic radios. I recently came across a national Panasonic rs-466sdf. it sounds amazing but it has problems. some of the line in ports don't work or are fiddley, the tape deck plays but its slow no ff,rw,search and the counter does not run and the sw1-2-mw do not work probably because I had to install an antenna myself and fix the bodge the previous owner did...

long story short I would love to have a fully functional version of this beast and would cherish it for years to come if I ever manage to get one.

on a similar note if anyone has a freaky looking national Panasonic they are willing to sell id love to talk about it

Yep, its a cool looking radio, please keep in mind, the most of these 466's you can see on the net - are versions for american market with only FM/AM tuner (Panasonic), and versions with SW1,SW2,SW3,MW - for other countries (National Panasonic), but yours one, seems like a pretty rare version with SW1,SW2,MW,FM tuner - they are common for australian market. And one more thing, US-version has boring black tape mode buttons, but those "australian" with chrome ones. 

almost got my cyrrent 466 fully working but then discovered a broken fuse/resistor on the back of the radio board unless i can find another it will never get sw1-2or mw again
