What more can i say,
Very pleasant and helpful and a little surprise or three to boot on top of what I bought from him.
I bought the Telefunken Hi Fi 800 .
and packed in with it was a couple of hi quality cassettes and a mini Grundig . What a deal and a really nice guy.

I was just a little frustrated that I sent a PM to Tom (which were his instructions for inquiring about the radios) more than 8 hours before you posted in that thread asking about it, and he never responded to my PM until 4 days later to let me know that it was sold. I was clearly the first to inquire about the Telefunken, and didn't even get an opportunity to be in the running for it. Kinda sucked to be me.....


I'm not mad at you at all- it's the seller who cast me aside with no explanation or apology for not following his own contact instructions that I don't get.

Man Im sorry to hear that.
I spoke to Tom a while back when he was getting rid of another that he was looking to trade.
I had nothing he was interested in so he told me he would keep me in mind if he found another.
He must have forgot when he offered up the second one that he told me that.
So he probably felt obligated to me at that point and kept his word to me.
Im not sure why he didnt contact you back though .
maybe you guys could take that one up in PM.
(not my business).
Any how if I ever decide to part with it you will have first dibs ok??
Tom seems to be a man of his word with a good rep with a few others that have bought from him and he is definitely ok in my book.

Tom, I'm not bashing you, ok? You treated your customer well in this circumstance, and appear to have a good history with selling to others here. I just would have expected you to take the initiative to explain what happened instead of putting your buyer in the awkward position of doing it for you a month after the fact. I even posted asking who ended up getting the Telefunken in your FS thread, giving you weeks to respond/explain, yet nothing.
