a few hours LESS than one week after hitting the BIN on this hong kong auction --
this monster aimor box arrives safely --packed for major over-kill --
and working MUCH better than expected --
pictures to follow --
and check out NEDS aimor neon mod post -- to see the inspiation and future of the cool giant -
its actually bigger in all 3 dimensions than an M90 --its almost conion size --
but for now -- i want to thank henry, for a tremendous packing job and a very conservative description.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Aimor-Boombox-Ghettoblaster_W0QQite...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemalso - thanks to NED for the light link and for this photo::
That's great to hear, Ira! A little cleaning and polishing and that baby will be good as new!
bobby --instead of all the cleaning -
-we could just put a bunch of your stickers over the dirty parts
way to go ira
ramon --do i have to send this monster all the way to NEDS in ireland ---or do you think you can figure out how to light it up ??
and replace the speakers and the amps ???
i want this sucker to jam --and to obliterate the JVC Floyd DOOMER --
OK????

Great news Ira, that was a very tempting auction. Glad one of the good members of S2G ended up with it.
Pics and info needed by us!
lol i dont think any plastic box can do that ira.that armour thingy looks like a a walk man next to the doomer.
floyd -- i did not know you were permitted in the feedback section
i should have deleted it before you noticed the post --
but - BTW -- what if i brace it up with some 5/8 marine plywood and some 2 x 4s ??? to make it SOLID

Hey Ira
make sure and switch that sucker back to the 110v setting before you go using it ok
thanks TA --yup - that was my FIRST move
i had a real happy surprise --the fm tuner is superb --got some stations that dont even exist around here
The most important question "How does it sound"!
hoping no one would ask
it sounds very good , clean accurate and easy to listen to --
BUT the bass has no feeling --
so ---its boring ,
and MUST be upgraded
thanks ira~!!hope you enjoy~!!
to further enhance the good rep of henry --
here are a few pix to show the 3 day air delivery from hong kong to florida---
and that his packing preserved the aimor
Looks very nice! Like you said - looks a lot like Sanyo 920 - which is a compliment to any box
better check out the pix in collections --its a 920 daddy
(doomer killer thread)
Three day air from HK Ira! No wonder you'selling all of your crap!
Still..great to see another awsome exchange.
the shipping price option was 65 for a 2 month boat ride --
or 95 for 3 day air --
If it was $95 U.S. then I should be buying boxes from HK cause THAT AIN'T BAD!

I thought $95 seemed exceptionally cheap for that huge box when I was looking at the auction.
the postage is cheap
but it's priceless to get you a boombox that you really love.
I m happy to know that you like this box very much~!
ok henry- and thanks ALOT again--it could not have been packed any better
hey ira~ you should hang out with ramon,
blasting the 920 and aimor together~!!
i would -- but i hate Ramon
it true henry he does
and ramons sanyo 920 is like a PUNY MINI compared to the big motha aimor
---------(except his sounds SO MUCH better)
so you may need my secret weapon~!!
ramon~you 920 fixing finished yet??
Glad it arrived safe and sound great going for both of ya
it's happy when i know the bbx arrived safe~
