this past sat nite --ending on ebay was a decent c100f aka HELIX --

it was obvious that it would get into several $$hundreds$$ --and it was a ZERO FB seller --
so i needed some back-up --
it was pre-arranged with the seller to have it picked up right after the victory

and good old Vladi had volunteered to jump right into his falcon and drive the 140 mile round trip to inspect , pay and pick it up for me --and all to a bad Fort Worth neighborhood at NIGHT !!

(howz THAT for members helping members!!!)

about an hour prior to the auction ending --
i got to think about what a great guy Vladi is
(and far underrated around here )

and then the following scenario occurred to me ::

1. i win
2. Vladi drives all the way over there
3. doesnt like the box
4. he tells the seller its a POS and wont pay
5. the seller SHOOTS Vladi
6. takes the cash
7. gives me a Neg feedback

anyhow -- in the interest of saving Vladis life --i decided to pass on the Helix

still - i want to seriously thank Vladi for his ultra brave and grand offer --

Vladi that's an incredibly generous and brave thing. You'd risk getting shot for Ira's Helix?


Vladi is obviously a great member, good friend and insane but I think we should keep him. I always felt Vladi was a great guy but now the question is did he talk to the honey at the gym?

I like Vladi. I too was wondering if he hooked up with that lovely lady. I was drooling over that Helix(aka Conion). That "zero" next to the seller's name was scary. Vladi would just use some "Rex-Quan-Do" on any thugs in tha hood.

Ira, be honest now - I'm looking at the scenario in your first post, and I'm starting to think that the real reason for you to cancel the Helix thing was NOT me being shot, but a possible negative feedback from the seller

We'll apparently vladi has incredible health coverage, unfortnately he should be investing in kevlar body armor instead of some cheesy Helix, Conion, Claritone blah, blah...

Now what vladi really needs to do is risk getting shot on the yellow brick road to go see the Wizard of Oz for COURAGE to talk to the gym hottie!

There might be some members I'd sacrifice for a Helix or a Conion but not Vladi.
