The event (and package) you are about to see unfold is true. Only the lighting has been changed, to keep you from noticing just how worn out our living room carpet is!
I just received this Akai AJ-520 from masterblaster, and the transaction was perfection from start to finish! (You can see the finish in the photos. I suppose you could call it a "photo finish.")
Shipping from Vancouver to Detroit was exceptionally fast (a little over a week), MB's packing was careful and secure, and the Akai itself is an absolute Dream Machine: full/room-filling sound, easy-to-operate controls (that all actually operate!), and that quirky-but-beautiful "upside down" look that Akai is famous for. Everything functions exactly as it should on this baby, which is more than I can say for most of the babies that are brought into our house.
Thanks, masterblaster, for a wonderful boombox and a flawless, not to mention totally satisfying, transaction. This box is a definite keeper, and one I'll be proud to show off for years to come, both to those who know a decent boombox when they see one, as well as to the masses of uninformed losers who wander through here on a daily basis, and who will no doubt point at this treasure and ask, "Uh... what's that?"
And so, welcome to your new home, AJ-520. I have a feeling you and I are going to get along just fine!
i love it when a plan comes together.......
perfection is the hardest performannce to beat
I really like this box and I am starting to be interested in Akai too

Nice Akai, they are rare to find in good working order.
Thanks everyone for the positives. I'm very proud of this Akai because it's unique, rare and in great shape. And I'm very, VERY grateful to MB for selling it to me. Reminds me again that my sweetest/easiest/smoothest deals have been with fellow S2G members.
Congrats to you BB, and MasterB for the seamless transaction. Those Akai machines look awesome, and different. Love the bottom tuner and LED's...
