I have couple of these thank you's and today I would like to start with Transamguy1977. I was given the chance to buy his Elta over the summer and the transaction and more importantly the shipping went wonderfully. If you can imagine packing the largest boombox ever made to ensure it could make a 1200 mile UPS ride...it has to be some pack job. I beleive Frank had to make a couple of trips just to get enough packing material around the boombox...the boxes were enormous...made for plasma tv's. The package arrived safe and sound thanks to his hard efforts. Here she is with one of my other pride and joys...Thanks again Transamguy1977 great job!
eric --you were lucky to get to know about franks packing -- so was i --
he is both an all class and a first class guy.

Thanks guys! Yes I will post some pics of the collection....have to be careful when the wifeee is around....might start asking questions like "when did you get that" or "I've never seen that one before" or "is that new" or the dreaded "how much did that cost"

Been there - done that.
More than once.
Doesn't always turn out well.
eric-- yup --
the honest answers to those 4 predictable questions --should not even be considered !!!
however -- the flat-out LIE routine is not 100% dependable.
the bottom line -- is that we are mostly screwed
Or do what I do and hide them in the closet!
NFW -- fatdog
wives inspect closets -- they inspect EVERYTHING !!!!

nice score Eric, and great job TA!
Eric, make sure you have your lovely daughter with u when it comes to boxes.
I heard stories like kids went to mama and told "daddy got another one of these big expensive toys"
once your kids are with you you can tell your wife: Nah honey..it's been here since i started.
that worked for me with my mother when i used to still live at home and also works with my GF these days
one plan that might work -
to take the pressure off the old 'too many boxes' issue ----
is to divert their attention to a some bigger problem ::
like -- the next time they catch you opening up the carton for a gigantic grail --
and they ask :
"now just where is THAT thing gonna go"
just tell them --
" oh dont worry bout that huns -- its for my newest girlfriend"

----somebody here please try that one -- and report the results

Thats one way of getting rid of a girl you don't like
Congrats on a great deal guys.
Yes Kid Sensation! it works both ways with the kids...my oldest let slip the other night that "mom was downstairs counting your boxes yesturday" probably because I got a nice flashy one from redbenjoe (Thank you soon to follow)
of course I gave my wife the "what are you doing in my work shop look" all the time hoping she would not say she really counted 16 when the other day she ask me and I said "I think it's around 10"....well 10 is pretty close to 16 right. Luckily she is very good to me about the strange obbsesion I have found. Yes Ira I don't like to lie about anything, so in the case, avoidance is the best possibility
. Yes Fatdog I have hidden a few here and there, but how do you hide a 3 foot 30 pound black box thats as big as your youngest daughter and is as loud as a freight train.......aaahh good times
