Hey there,
this ia a big thank you to Gsbadbmr, Driptip, Kittmaster, Masterblaster84, and of course Redbenjoe for their purchases from the box I parted out. All great guys to deal with.
Some of the reasons I parted it out rather than fix it up myself were lack of time, and lack of finances; but in fact I also had a bigger reason as well.
There is a children's shelter for wayward kids, and abandoned youth in my area that my wife and I donate many Christmas presents to, year in and year out...and have for years... actually we are usually responsible for all of the needs for all the children on Christmas.
This year, though, we saw a major setback in our finances, and we were not able to do so this year.
As the holiday came on, I decided to at least try and do something.
I had come up with an idea... and the sale of the C100 helped financed it...
With the money from the parts, we went out and got a couple of the new Lasonics (I931) and donated them to the shelter... The reason being, was that I wanted to give them something that could be enjoyed by multiple kids at once, and perhaps try and start a new legacy of boomboxes among today's youth...
I really appreciate it, and I hope you all feel the same when I say I hope the kids were happy, amazed and in awe, as I was when I was a child when I saw my first boombox...
This thank you is also directed towards all who inquired about parts, and could not get them, and also all of you here who smiled when you read this post.
Thank you all again.
-Paul

Paul that's a terrific story, I had no idea that was your motivation. I thought you might just be trying to sell Ira broken parts to piss him off.
Paul overpacked the parts he sent me and was A+ all the way. My conion is going to be a sweet box again thanks to Paul.
Great idea Paul. Man, I'm sorry I haven't got back with you earlier. Using the i931s to keep the BBX flame alive is a fantastic idea. Im proud of what you and you wife have been doing. Big ups to you and yours.
Great story about the kids Ohboy.
Thanks for all the comments guys...
I am glad I can help who I could out with this, and in doing do, you were all a help in accomplishing what I wanted to do...
Hopefully this year will be better, but because of this, this year was not a total loss.
