wanna talk about favors among members ? OK:

for the past 4 months, every week i had bumped a dire, desperate and hopeless quest in our wanted section - for the elusive aiwa CA-70 --

and that thread became a comedy act --as there were NONE --

EXCEPT ---good old skippy located one in chicago -and finally, its really right here !!!

cant say its exactly 'all-good' --since its one of these
'everythings missing --nothing works' boxes
the speakers are now at the re-foam shop -so cant even report the how- it- sounds part --

its a speaker place up here in lake worth --let me know if you need the into --
they do both walk-in and mail -in servive --so you could send your speakers to them --

in fact -- i told frank (TA)about them --he sent in his M90 speakers --and was happy with their work

i can't think of any boxes i want re foamed etc,i'll have to check,all they do is speakers? i still need a tech to work on a few tape mechs,especially a couple of the aiwa's,i give up,they are just too much of a grind. Also my sampo,the tape drive is so fickle one day works @ a cleaning,put it back,go to play it again eats a tape or doesn't work...grrr very annoying!
