Very bad eBay seller AVOID AT ALL COST "ramc73"

drmr2000 - 2009-10-18 14:33

I bought this Sony WM-7 ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...geName=STRK:MEWNX:IT. then the seller listed on Craiglist on 10/13/09 when I bought the unit on 10/09/09? hmm, so I called the phone number on the Craiglists ad http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/ele/1419309681.html Pretending be interested in the unit to meet the seller to buy the unit, so I can get a address of where this seller lives, which I then told him, don't you have that same unit listed on ebay and he said the guy copy the pictures, so I gave him the ebay item number and told him I am the one that bought that item and he hung up, try calling the number again and no answer.

Left him email no response and no tracking and no item yet? How long does it take for Paypal to reverse the charge is item not received?

i just had a look on his ebay profile,he looks real dodgy,he's blocked the question function so nobody can contact him, with the evidence you have,i would file a dispute immedietly, then paypal should put a hold on his account..

Well, that does seem awfully strange. He has done a few transactions and his feedback suggests that he is legitimate and that he does follow through. I would be more concerned with the craigslist posting being fraudulent (craigslist is easier to scam than ebay unless the account was hijacked). Let us know how it goes.

He sent me this five days ago, it him.

Craigslist? I checked the link out. Why it is the same description in Google search but says it has been removed by author? That's weird.I am very Sorry the shipment is late. No it has no been shipped. There is no way to pay for the shipping of this item since paypal is holding ALL the funds including your shipping payment. I cannot make it to the post office to deliver this due to my physical condition. I usually drop off and pick up packages at the door. Your part of the transaction is okay with nothing wrong. The only way that they will release the funds so I can use them is when positive feedback is received or proof of shipment is confirmed witch ever comes first. Paypal will hold the money including shipping 21 days otherwise. There is no way to pay for shipping for this item since Paypal put a hold on your funds including shipping. This is a normal procedure for them to confirm that the buyer gets the item before releasing the funds that started back in May of 08. I will send the item as soon as I have a balance enough to pay for the shipping charges. Please check my feedback for your confidence in the purchase you made. This is just another one of Paypal's twisted rules that wasn't given any thought very well for sellers. This in no way my fault but Paypal's and there is no way to release it until it has cleared with them. I would have shipped this right away if the shipping funds where there but there is a 0 balance in my account. Sorry it has to take so long. I can assure you that it will be shipped once I have the funds to pay for the shipping. If you have any further questions about this please contact me though this email in ebay. Please remember that I want to handle this issue properly and will be in good communication with you at all [
times to get your item delivered in satisfactory time and condition. I will follow up on this transaction in the very near future. Check this site out: http://www.thepetitionsite.com...1-day-holding-period

Dear ramc73,

To be honest with you I don't know why they hold the shipping costs, it makes no sense just cause more problem then anything, I can understand that, so sent $10 to ship it,figure they won't hold that due to it under $100 dollars, Paypal sure fixs that problem and at lease release shipping costs, I saw feedback that why I bidded on the item figure it had something to do with Paypal

I called the craiglists ad the guy was willing to meet in person, and was going to take cash, it him because as soon as I told him about the eBay ad he hung up.I think it was the 21 day or positive feedback hold, because the transaction was over $100, If you have no intent to sell it, then refund me my money, with a reason. "I had to email him saying I was going to call the cops to get this guy to email me" Seem like I have more problem with the higher price units.

sooo, did he refund you then ??
if he does'nt,file a dispute, its your right as a buyer,if you think its dodgy in any way do it ! especially if if its not been sent and now he's ignoring your emails ect..you have a right to be worried,if you file a dispute that should wake him up in to contacting you..

i've gone through this lots of times, its a real pain, and its getting worse..ebay is becomming more and more dodgy..only last week i bought a box off ebay, the seller stated it was all working perfect, but when i got it,both decks were knackered,it did'nt cost me alot so i did'nt take it any further..

I file a dispute, I just wish he would refund me my money already, to make already a long process to go quicker, he not going to get the money and by holding it he going to get a negative feedback, in the end what good is it doing him?

im.out.of.hear - 2009-10-19 08:02

ahhh wait just a minute, did you say that the money for the walkman is on hold by paypal ?? if it is on hold,he will not get his hands on it,you will get your money back, when paypal holds the money, its for security reasons..

its happened to me,i sold a laptop on ebay, paypal held the money,it showed up in my account,i could see it but i could'nt access it until the buyer left positive feedback for me,the minute he left feedback, the money was released..i reckon you are ok,just stick with the dispute man..

Please don't ask folks here to do things like this. It serves no purpose other than to make an already bad situation worse.

You might want to reconsider posting the guys personal information online. Between doing this and encouraging third parties to harass him, you could wind up with legal issues that will only cause you more problems than they're worth.

drmr2000 - 2009-10-22 21:18

Your right pulled it, better to let Paypal, eBay and police deal with him, no point in going any further.
