Hi fellas: Just got this black beauty & also a very sentimental value to me I remember seeing this boombox everyday in this small electronic store in the train station Times Square, Till I had enough of staring at it and got it when I was 17. What does it sound like?

Thanks fellas, I actually use a Path Mart cart I got from a hustler out there . The sound is not bad, When I connect my Bose cd player the sound is nice and deep. I would compare the same sound as a Sanyo M-9994, Nothing spectacular, But this is of my sentimental boomboxes I had when I was just a 17 year old kid working in Key Food supermarket making $3.35 an hour, At the time this was one of the boomboxes I was able to effort, And man at that time I was proud with my General Sound, Now I can stare it as much asI want. Gotta love the chrome on it .

Glad you like it, I used bumper gloss to make it look good.
It was all dull and flat black when I got it.

I thought you were fibbing when you said you had one as a teenager, cuz it's the only one of these I've ever seen. In fact I'm surprised I didn't get more for it. Another one of those GPX/General Sounds always pulls in close to $200 (the silver one with analog VU needles)

Anyways, congrats on getting reuinted with one of your old boxes. I like the way it looks in a dark room with the LEDs and the chrome woofer rings. Thing is though, you can't turn it up TOO high cuz the LEDs will max out and stop dancing

See this is one of the things that I love about this box, Those hugh chrome rings. I can really look when I see myself. I call these mirror woofers.
