EBAY SUPER SELLERS

jaredscottfla - 2008-11-23 18:21

SmileIn Response To a Discussion on Here Since we Have A Crummy Sellers Thread Why Not a Super Sellers Thread? I think This Thread should Reflect Not only a Sellers Fb (even if it's 100% ,Even if it's not) Length of Time on Ebay,But Also Take into Account The Sellers Frequency of Selling Boomboxes. That will Limit it down quite a bit.
In Keeping With That Theme Here are 2 that I personally Whole Heartdly say are Super!
Redding 1
Not only BBx's But i Bought My Long sought after Dahlberg Motel Radio in Minty Shape From Redding 1 and at least 2 Boomboxes.
Teamresell Another You Tube Freak But Team Resell is The real Deal. Exc Items VERY low Shipping,Honest Fast and Freindly!
And You Boys and Girls? Wink

let me get it started with 3 sellers that always have boxes on usa ebay :

skillphil, puma and partime --
they most often DONT have the prime 'museum pieces' Big Grin
but their description have been accurate, and their prices are fair.

jaredscottfla - 2008-11-23 18:41

Nod Yesskilphil another cool fla boy, this box jams!

--- we might as well just send each other a bunch of PMs !! Frown Big Grin

(include lopez)
-------------------------------
are we also invited to post 'details' about our good experiences ?

if so -- i have a dooozie Smile

anyone wanna hear it ?? Tap Toes Big Grin

jaredscottfla - 2008-11-26 12:44

Nod Yes sure,why not? Wink

redbenjoe - 2008-11-26 15:47

well -- thanks for asking , jared --
so few members will read this thread anyway -
consider this story a semi-PM :

but as the holiday season is here --hope all members might contibute some 'happy' story about ebay sellers.

this is ONE of my many good ones ---

about a year or more ago
-- isolator made a great post --to tell all he knew about the many hitachi 3D models --

many ,like me -- had known nothing at all --plus thought they were a bit odd/goofy and had just 'passed' on the frequent ebay 3D offerings.

he included his top 3 or 4 preferences --
and --with luck --one of his favs pops up on ebay --2 days later --
from seller -- GOODSTUFFSOLD --

it was one with the cool RED trim -
there was no bin Frown -- so i had to wait all 7 days to win it --
plus this seller is way out in san diego --another 7 long days to get it !!

it arrives very well packed -- BUT while i couldnt wait to see that beautiful red trim on the black case ----

all i could see was some godawful YELLOW plastic and this over-wide (but OEM) gawdy YELLOW strap !!
hated it Mad ----

(continued) Smile

redbenjoe - 2008-11-26 17:31

well - once it came out of the box -- i recognized it as the magnovox 'family' aka (sort of) --similar in size/purpose of the hitachi 3D that i had won --
but - most definitely a box that i would bid on - never Frown

knowing that this was a good seller --i emailed 'with confidence' about the mistake --and asked for the return --

but was really bummed out --
because -- at best, it would take another 2 weeks --and at worst -- he may NOT still have the hitachi 3D Tap Toes

anyhow -- before the re-pack --and just like any good s2g member would do -- i closed my eyes to this ugly yellow thing --and tried it.

the sound was great ( ie - like GREAT) Big Grin

a few hours later -- this good seller emails back -- like this : Smile

'sorry - our mistake --dont go thru all the trouble of packing and returning it --
just keep it and enjoy it -- we will send you the box you won --today with 2 day priority '
---------------------

well -- that was nice -- very nice --
except --then it got even better !!

( continued)

redbenjoe - 2008-11-26 18:15

anyhow -- i still cant stand even looking at this thing Smile
(please - no offense meant to members that do like their appearance)
------

so - right away --i call ex-buddy--local member ramon --to tell him that 'the deal of his lifetime is in his grasp' Smile

always a trusting , easy mark --
i bring it over to him --

keep in mind -- that ramon is a talented musician and KNOWS HIS SOUNDS --
but he is mostly devoid of any aesthetic taste Laugh Out Loud

so - i convince him that "yellow is IN"-and further -- that if he goes for the deal --all present and future s2g members will admire him !!

we end up in a VALUE trade --thats 3 times the price of what i paid for the 3D in the first place --
PLUS i $scored$ on the delivery charge --

and , finally -- hooked him for an elegant dine-in Happy Meal Smile Big Grin

...btw, I too have had multiple success with skilphil & his most entertaining eBay descriptions... THIS SUCKA JAMS! Smile

baby.boomer - 2008-12-04 01:51

Just wanted to let everyone know about a great eBay seller who provided my latest boombox fix... a NIB Sony CFS-77. In addition to offering a genuinely never-used, opened-only-to-take-photos, owned-by-an-elderly-gentleman-who-only-drove-it-to-church-on-Sundays (well, almost like that), Connie sent this 77 via one-day FedEx and double-boxed it using enough styrofoam peanuts to cushion a 20-foot jump from a burning building! Lots of friendly, helpful communication, too, from start to finish. An enjoyable, satisfying and professional transaction from a seller who went "above and beyond the call of duty" in every way. She isn't a "boombox seller" like most other eBay names here, but does sell them from time to time. Buy from her if you get the chance.

redbenjoe - 2008-12-04 05:33

OMG --even the carton is mint !!

what is Connies complete ebay name ?

ford93 - 2008-12-04 06:32

Wow BB that is mint and like Ira said even the carton is mint dude you scored well. Nod Yes

Just to mentioned two of Gemany's finest sellers:

ebey.loewin.
schoenklinger.

Oops! Sorry I forgot the most important part.

Her eBay name is 1004connie. I just looked, and she's mostly just selling Christmas nicknacks right now. But just wait 'til the next time she goes to the estate sale of a 73-year-old man who bought electronics and never opened them!

reli - 2008-12-07 17:37

One day Fed-Ex?? How much did that cost?

baby.boomer - 2008-12-07 19:13

Shipping was $25. She said she'd cover the extra cost. I didn't ask for 1-day shipping, but I did ask for double-boxing. She did both for the $25.

reli - 2008-12-07 20:07

It was only $25? I was expecting a lot more. I"ve never seen Fed-Ex as an option on Ebay, did she just leave it blank and then tell you?

baby.boomer - 2008-12-08 06:18

The auction listed shipping at $25, but didn't say which shipper would be used. It did say in the item description that the $25 was an estimate and could be changed, so the buyer should wait for an invoice before sending payment. It also said that she would charge an additional $2 for "packing and handling."

In the end, she didn't charge anything extra, even though she was willing to double-box (not her original plan, which was simply to wrap up the original box and send it) and decided to use FedEx. She sent me an invoice for the cost of the boombox + $25 shipping.

I chalk up her willingness to absorb the extra costs of double-boxing and using FedEx to her own kindness, which is one of the reasons I was so impressed and grateful. I assume she figured she could afford the extras out of what I paid her for the boombox + the $25 shipping charge. Like I said: above and beyond the call!

redbenjoe - 2009-01-10 19:37

jaredscottfla - 2009-05-13 12:57

Laugh Out Loud that sucker jams

jamescyberjoe - 2009-06-05 12:51

I bought several items from goodstuffsold and every single item had issues.
The clock radio that was in pristine shape that showed up basically worn out and wouldnt turn off.
The boombox that worked great but the tuner did'nt.
The tape deck in mint shape but arrived with worn belts and other rubber.
I don't trust this guy anymore.
