In one of my recent sporadic visists to s2g, I somehow stumbled across a post from jeff, selling his Sony CFD-5, here.
Having picked myself up off the floor & changed my underwear, I replied to jeff, hopefully to seal the deal.
Things went well & I'm now the happy & proud owner of what is widely believed to be the very first boombox to have a CD player:

Glad you got it in good shape and are happy with it. Someday I'm gonna wish I hadn't sold it but I'm glad someone got it that will take care of it. Enjoy it.
